My greatest joy is writing for children and the happiness of seeing my books
in the hands of young children, and of the many children in my family.

It has been one of my greatest joys to have the collaboration of extraordinary illustrators. A picture book is, in truth, a dual creation. The author does her best to tell the story. Then the illustrator tells the story again, using a different medium. Great illustrators will not simply repeat what the author has said, but will complement the story with his or her own interpretation. I have been blessed to have some of the best illustrate my stories. Among them are:
