Illustrators
It has been one of my greatest joys to have the collaboration of extraordinary illustrators. A picture book is, in truth, a dual creation. The author does her best to tell the story. Then the illustrator tells the story again, using a different medium. Great illustrators will not simply repeat what the author has said, but will complement the story with his or her own interpretation.
I am frequently asked how do you choose the illustrators. The truth is that many times I was not given the opportunity to chose them. The choice was made by the editor and the art director of a publishing house. I thank them for having chosen excellently. I consider myself blesses to have some of the best illustrators in the world illustrate my stories. Among them are:
